Former Cortland standout Scott Tota joins the Red Dragon coaching staff in 2017 after serving as an assistant coach at Monroe Community College in 2015-16. In December of 2016, he was selected by the Rochester Rattlers in the 10th round of the Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft.
Tota ranks fifth in program history with 471 saves and a 7.17 GAA and posted a 44-9 record during his career. A two-time team captain, he earned honorable mention All-America honors and first team All-SUNYAC accolades as a senior and second team all-conference recognition as a freshman and a junior. Tota also was named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP his junior season.
Tota, who was a Dean’s List student and earned a bachelor’s degree in coaching at Cortland, was a three-year starter in lacrosse at Webster Schroeder (N.Y.) High School.
