Todd Richardson joins the Cortland men’s lacrosse staff for the 2018-19 season after coming from Crawfordsville, Ind. Richardson spent the last five years at Division III start-up Wabash College, most recently as head coach from 2016-18. During 2017, his first year at the helm, Richardson led the Little Giants to the highest single-season win total in program history with a 5-11 record. Prior to a tenure on staff at Wabash, he spent a year as an assistant coach at Elizabethtown College (Pa.) in 2013.
A 2010 graduate of Mercyhurst University, Richardson was a member of the 2007 Division II national runner-up team and a senior captain of the 2010 squad that posted a 13-1 record. With a bachelor’s degree in sports business management, Richardson will continue his education at Cortland working towards a master’s degree. Originally from Memphis, N.Y. and a graduate of Jordan-Elbridge High School, he is excited to return to Upstate and help the Red Dragons during the 2018-19 campaign.
