The 2012 season is Logan Keeney’s first as an assistant coach on the Cortland men’s soccer staff after a four-year career with the Red Dragons. Keeney played in 29 games in the midfield and at forward from 2006-09, seeing action in 11 games as a junior and senior.
Before joining the Cortland staff, Keeney served as the varsity boys’ head soccer coach at DeRuyter Central School in 2011. Prior to that, he played semi-professional soccer for the Maroochydore Swans in Australia.
Keeney, who earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education and is pursuing his master’s in the same field with a concentration in adapted physical education at the College, is a native of Virgil, N.Y., and was a three-year starter in soccer at Cortland High School.
