Pat Pidgeon

Pat Pidgeon begins his second season on the Cortland men's soccer staff and his first season on the Cortland women's soccer staff in 2013.

Pidgeon was a four-year member of the Red Dragons' men's soccer team as a goalkeeper from 2008-11. As a senior, he started 14 games and posted a 5-6-1 record with a 1.40 GAA, .773 save percentage and one solo shutout. He also was a member of the 2008 team that won a SUNYAC title and tied for 17th nationally in Div. III.

Prior to Cortland, Pidgeon, who holds a Football Association of Ireland (FAI) Introductory Coaching Certification, worked for the FAI in 2011. He also served as a coach at the One+ Goalkeeper Academy and the WAZA FLO soccer club in Ithaca, N.Y., from 2007-11.

Pidgeon recently received his national diploma from the NSCAA and is currently pursuing consulting certification through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sport psychology at Ithaca College.
