The 2021 season is Sean Streb's second as an assistant coach with the Cortland men's soccer program. Prior to Cortland, Streb held several positions in the New York City area. He served as varsity boys assistant coach and varsity boys developmental head coach at Riverdale Country School in the Bronx from 2017-18. Streb also held the position of head coach for the Manhattan Soccer Club 2006 Girls team from 2017-20 and for the girls varsity team at the Trevor Day School in Manhattan in 2019.
Besides his role at Cortland, Streb serves as the head coach for the Syracuse Rush 2006 Boys and 2008 Boys programs, a role he has held since 2020. Streb also was Coaching Manager at E3Sports in Manhattan from 2017-20.
Streb, who is currently pursuing his master's degree in exercise science at Cortland, graduated from the University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology/Fitness Development after attending Tompkins Cortland Community College, where he received the Chancellor's Award. While at TC3, he was a two-year member of the soccer team, earning all-conference, all-region and All-America honors both seasons. As a two-year member of the Red Dragon soccer team, Streb was a two-time All-SUNYAC selection and received all-region honors as a senior.
A native of Lansing, N.Y., Streb graduated from Lansing High School in 2012. He was an all-state player in both soccer and baseball, winning a state title in baseball and sectional and regional championships in soccer.
