2026: Ryan earned third team American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region 3 honors...Was a second team All-SUNYAC awardee...Pitched in 14 games with five starts during the season for Cortland...Finished with an 8-2 record with one save, a 3.05 ERA, and 38 strikeouts over 44.1 innings pitched...Started and hurled a season-best 6.1 shutout innings with two strikeouts to earn the win against Kalamazoo in the NCAA Div. III Regional...Pitched 5.0 hitless innings with six strikeouts to record the victory against Canton...Did not allow a hit and struck out three batters over 3.0 scoreless innings to earn the win against Fredonia...Pitched 3.1 scoreless innings to earn the win against Plattsburgh...Was credited with the win after tossing 5.0 innings and allowing just one run with six strikeouts at Berry...Pitched 2.2 scoreless innings to record the save against Oneonta in the SUNYAC Semifinal Series...Threw 3.2 scoreless innings with five strikeouts to earn the win against Marietta...Tossed 1.2 scoreless innings to record the win at Oneonta...Was chosen as the SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week two times during the season, on Feb. 23 and Apr. 6.

2025: Attended SUNY Cortland but did not compete in baseball...Was a member of the Cortland football team in the fall semester of 2024. 

Prior to Cortland: Attended Hofstra University in 2023-24 and was a member of the baseball team....Dean's List student.

High School: Graduated from Warwick Valley in 2023...Two-year football starter and earned honorable mention all-state honors...Three-year baseball starter and was Section Nine MVP...National Honor Society member.

Other: Son of Jamie and Denis McLaughlin...Has two siblings, Joe and Carly...Father played baseball at Old Dominion...Mother competed in track and field at UMass...Brother Joe currently a member of the baseball program at Oswego.
