Aiden Poli begins his first season as an assistant coach for the SUNY Cortland swimming and diving teams in 2024-25.
A 2023 graduate of Cortland with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Psychology for Children with Disabilities, Poli was a swimmer for four seasons from 2019-23. He earned second team All-SUNYAC honors as a member of the second place 200 medley relay team at the SUNYAC Championships in 2019-20, and also earned multiple third team All-SUNYAC awards.
Poli has earned his initial NYS teaching certificate, in addition to a NYS coaching certificate. He has previous coaching experience working with the Cortland YMCA Stingers swim team, and has also taught swim lessons and worked as a lifeguard for the Cortland YMCA.Â
Poli's brother Makiah is also a member of the swimming and diving team at Cortland.
