Leslie Martin enters her second year on the Cortland track and field coaching staff and first season on the cross country staff in 2010-11 as a graduate assistant. Martin earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from East Stroudsburg University in 2008 and an associate’s degree in sport management from SUNY Cobleskill in December, 2005. She also completed an internship at Lee Taft Speed Academy in the summer of 2007.
Martin competed in track and field at both Cobleskill and East Stroudsburg. While at Cobleskill, she was a three-time individual national champion as a multi-athlete, winning two titles in the high jump and one championship in the heptathlon. Martin earned All-America honors in the indoor high jump and the outdoor heptathlon and was named the NCAA Division III Outdoor East Region Field MVP while at East Stroudsburg.
A native of Hudson Falls, N.Y., Martin graduated from Hudson Falls Senior High, where she was a four-year member of the track and field team.
