Marques Dexter begins his first season as an assistant coach on the Cortland cross country and track and field teams in 2009-10. Prior to Cortland, Dexter was a volunteer assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track and field teams at the University of Georgia.
Dexter earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Robert Morris University and a master’s degree in Kinesiology from Georgia. While at Robert Morris, he competed in the long jump and triple jump for three seasons. Previously, Dexter attended Rider University and was a horizontal jumper for the Broncs.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Dexter competed in track and field at Central High.
