Carly Assimon joined the Cortland coaching staff in the 2023-24 season. She previously served as a graduate assistant coach at Clarkson University for two seasons from 2021-23.
Assimon graduated from Clarkson in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Innovation & Entrepreneurship and earned an MBA from the university in 2023. Assimon played four seasons for the Golden Knights from 2017-21. A three-year team captain and three-year Liberty League All-Academic member, Assimon totaled 349 points, 156 rebounds, 99 assists and 45 steals in her career despite missing most of her junior year due to injury and playing in a shortened 2020-21 season. She finished ranked ninth at Clarkson with 83 career made 3-point field goals.
A native of Fayetteville, N.Y., Assimon is a 2017 graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School.
