Samantha Driscoll enters her first year as an assistant coach on the Cortland women’s basketball staff in 2008-09 after a four-year playing career with the Oswego Lakers.
Driscoll, who will complete work on her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education at Oswego in December, was a two-time third team All-SUNYAC selection, the MVP of the 2006 SUNYAC Tournament and a Scholar Athlete Award winner at Oswego. She holds the school record for most three-pointers in a game (8) and a season (58).
A native of Lisle, N.Y., Driscoll is a 2004 graduate of Whitney Point, where she was a two-time first team all-conference and a sixth team all-state selection in basketball.
