The 2016-17 season is Elise Konikoff’s second as a member of the Cortland women’s gymnastics coaching staff. Konikoff, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics at the College, was a four-year member of the Red Dragons’ women’s gymnastics team.
Konikoff received the NCGA Senior Scholar Athlete Award and earned first team All-America honors on vault and All-NCGA East honors on vault and beam in 2015. As a junior, she was a first team All-American on vault, and she won the beam title at the ECAC Div. III Championships as a sophomore.
A native of Hamburg, N.Y., Konikoff was a six-year member of the gymnastics team at Hamburg High, finishing third in the all-around at the state championships as a senior.
