Anna Hamid is serving as a student assistant coach with the Red Dragons this season after being a member of the program as a goalie for three years from 2020-23.
In 2022-23, Hamid appeared in six games and posted a 4-0 record, 1.05 GAA and .914 save percentage with two shutouts. In 2021-22 she went 7-2 with a 1.33 GAA, .933 save percentage and one shutout in 10 games, in the process setting a school record for lowest season GAA. Hamid also was a team member in 2020-21 but the season was canceled.
A native of Syosset, N.Y., Hamid graduated from the Portledge School in 2020. She was a four-year starter in ice hockey and earned WIHLMA first team academic honors and first team All-WIHLMA accolades. Her team won the WIHLMA title her senior year. Hamid also was a four-year starter in lacrosse and her team won the regular-season Private School Athletic Association title.
