Brooke Wilgosh enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Cortland women’s ice hockey team in 2016-17 after stepping in mid-season in 2015-16.

Wilgosh, who earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, anthropology and sociology from Elmira in 2015, was a four-year member of the women’s ice hockey team at defense where she scored 100 points on 23 goals and 77 assists in 105 career games.

Wilgosh was named to the ECAC West All-Rookie team as a freshman and chosen as the ECAC West Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. She earned first team all-conference honors three times and was a two-time AHCA first team All-American. Wilgosh also was a member of the ECAC West All-Academic Team. The team compiled a 91-19-4 record during her career and captured the NCAA Div. III national title her sophomore season.

A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Wilgosh graduated from Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in 2011. She competed in ice hockey and captured the ESSO Cup National Championship her senior year.
