Jackie Solomito joins the Cortland women’s ice hockey coaching staff in 2016-17. Solomito, who earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Manhattanville College in 2012, played four seasons of ice hockey for the Valiants.
An assistant captain, Solomito was named to the ECAC East All-Academic Team three times and was selected to the ECAC East All-Tournament Team during her junior season. She also competed in tennis as a senior while at Manhattanville.
Prior to Manhattanville, Solomito attended Niagara University, where she was a member of the Dean’s List and women’s ice hockey team.
A native of Bellmore, N.Y., Solomito graduated from the Northwood School in 2008.
