Katie Double joins the Cortland women’s ice hockey coaching staff in 2012-13 after a stellar four-year career as a goaltender for the Red Dragons. Double is a 2012 graduate of the College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Double concluded her career as Cortland’s all-time saves leader with 2,084. She also recorded a .902 save percentage and a 3.85 goals against average with two shutouts in 64 games. Double set the single-season saves record as a senior, turning aside 719 shots, and was named to the ECAC West All-Rookie Team as a freshman.
A native of Farmington, N.Y., Double was a four-year member of the hockey team and a two-year starter in lacrosse at Victor High School. Double is currently pursuing a master’s degree in psychology at the College.
