Makenzie Wright joins the Cortland women’s ice hockey coaching staff in 2017-18 after a four-year playing career with the Red Dragons.
Wright played in 79 games as a defenseman for Cortland, including all 25 contests her senior season, scoring 13 points on three goals and 10 assists. Prior to Cortland, Wright played for the New Jersey Rockets while attending West Morris Central School in New Jersey.
A native of Burlington, Ontario, Wright was a member of the ice hockey team at M.M. Robinson High. She is scheduled to receive her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the College in December 2017.
