Richard Reichenbach enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Cortland women’s ice hockey team in 2009-10. Prior to Cortland, Reichenbach served as the varsity ice hockey and lacrosse coach at the Millbrook School from 2007-09 and also coached the Tier 1 U-19 Sound Shore Warriors and Tier 2 U-19 Mid-Fairfield in 2008-09.
Reichenbach, who is pursuing a master’s degree in sport management at Cortland, graduated from Hamilton College in 2006, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in government. He played four seasons of ice hockey, serving as a senior team captain, and received the Unsung Hero Award as a junior and senior. Reichenbach was also a four-year member of the men’s lacrosse team as a close defenseman and helped lead the Continentals to an NCAA Division III Quarterfinal appearance in 2003.
A native of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Reichenbach graduated from the Millbrook School in 2002, where he competed in ice hockey and lacrosse, earning all-star honors in each sport.
