Craig Thomas begins his seventh season on the Cortland women's soccer coaching staff in 2025. In his six seasons, the Red Dragons have claimed two SUNYAC tournament titles and made three appearances in the NCAA Div. III playoffs. Thomas was also a member of the Cortland staff that claimed SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2023.
A holder of UEFA and USSF coaching qualifications, he has coached at the professional, collegiate and youth levels. A native of Rhyl, Wales, Thomas started all three years for the University of Wales, Bangor, where he earned a sports and exercise science degree.
From 2010-20, Thomas worked for Global Premier Soccer as a Director of Coaching and General Manager in both Massachusetts and New York. Thomas currently works for Rush Soccer, serving as Northeast Rush CEO. Thomas has won state and regional titles at club level in Massachusetts and New York while coaching teams that competed at national and international levels.
Thomas holds his UEFA B and USSF B licenses and expects to complete his USSF A license in 2024.
Thomas resides in Liverpool, N.Y.
