Colleen Stengel enters her third season as an assistant coach on the Cortland women’s volleyball staff in 2020. Previously, Stengel coached the girls’ GPS Crush volleyball club in Chalfont, Pa., and the girls’ Cherry Hill volleyball club in Cherry Hill, N.J.
Stengel graduated from Arcadia University in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She was a four-year member of the volleyball team and a three-time team captain. Stengel became just the seventh player in program history to reach 1,000 career assists, set the school record for most career sets played and received the Award of Merit for outstanding attitude, work ethic, leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Stengel graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in 2014. She competed in volleyball for four years and softball for two years.
