The 2018 season is Danny Gruszczyk’s first as an assistant coach on the Red Dragon women’s volleyball staff. Prior to Cortland, Gruszczyk served as the 18S head coach of Flathead Club and the junior varsity head coach at Missouri Baptist University.
Gruszczyk, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Missouri Baptist, was a two-year member of the volleyball team as a libero, ranking in the top 10 nationally in digs per set in NAIA both seasons. Previously, he played two seasons at Limestone College, where he was a team captain and ranked in the top 10 nationally in digs per set in all of Divisions I and II as a freshman and sophomore.
A native of Orlando, Fla., Gruszczyk competed in volleyball at Bishop Moore Catholic High School.
