Hailee Herc enters her second season as an assistant coach on the Cortland women’s volleyball staff in 2015. Prior to joining the Red Dragons, Herc served as an assistant coach for the Girls 16 and Under team at the Long Island Volleyball Academy from 2010-14.
Herc, who earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a secondary education certificate in social studies at Stony Brook, was a four-year member of the volleyball team as a right side hitter and libero. She led the team and finished sixth in the America East conference in digs in 2012 and paced the conference in aces per set.
A native of Eden, N.Y., Herc competed in volleyball, basketball and track and field at Eden High School. She earned all-state, All-Western New York and all-conference honors while leading her volleyball team to three state titles. Herc also was a first team all-conference selection in basketball and was a Section Six finalist in three events in track and field.
