Brian Hebbard

Brian Hebbard, MS, ATC joined SUNY Cortland as an athletic trainer in the fall of 2022, and currently serves as the athletic trainer for theĀ field hockey and women's ice hockey programs at Cortland. In addition to his duties with the Red Dragons, HebbardĀ is alsoĀ the head athletic trainer for the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, a position he accepted in 2024.Ā 

Hebbard has held positions in professional sports with the Philadelphia Stars of the United States Football League in 2022, and the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League during the 2020 season. He also gained previousĀ athletic training experience at the collegiate level workingĀ with the football team at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2021-22, and with the football team at Arizona State during his clinical immerson in the spring of 2021. Ā 

A Johnson City native, he earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2020 and a master's degree in athletic training in 2021, both from the University at Buffalo.Ā Ā 

Hebbard is an active member of theĀ National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and the New York State Athletic Trainers' Association (NYSATA).Ā HeĀ obtained certifications in the Graston Technique, and is aĀ Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

HebbardĀ isĀ a 2015 graduate of Johnson City High School, where he was a member of the golf team and swim team. He currently resides in Cortland.Ā
