Lacy Gunn, MS, ATC joined SUNY Cortland as an athletic trainer in the fall of 2012. Gunn currently works with the men's soccer and women's lacrosse programs for the Red Dragons, while teaching undergraduate studies in the Exercise Science department and serving as a preceptor for students in the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program at Cortland. She was previously the athletic trainer for the Cortland wrestling team from 2012-17 and for the Cortland softball team from 2020-24. 

Prior to Cortland, Gunn worked with the women's basketball, women's tennis, and women's rowing teams at UMass Amherst from 2006-12, for three seasons while pursuing a master's degree, and also for three years after graduation. She earned a Master of Science degree in kinesiology from UMass in 2009. She also worked with the women's volleyball and women's basketball teams at Colgate University from 2005-06. 

A Dryden native, Gunn earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Cortland in 2005. 

Gunn holds multiple certifications, including through the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Board of Certification, and is a New York State Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT). She obtained CPR and AED certifications through the American Heart Association, is a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and completed Graston Technique Module 1. 

Gunn resides in Tully with her husband Dave, a 2002 Cortland graduate, and their children Clayton, Grady, and Riley.
