Maris Seabury returns to the Red Dragon track and field program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2024 and will work with the sprints, hurdles and relays.
A 2024 graduate of SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Community Health with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Seabury competed in the 400 meters, 200 meters, 4x400-meter relay, and briefly the 400-meter hurdles. She earned All-SUNYAC second team honors and All-Atlantic region honors twice. Seabury also dedicated four years to the SUNY Cortland Student-Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), joining the leadership board in her third year, and finishing her career as the president in her final year.
Seabury previously coached cross country and track and field for two years, starting as a coach of the Upstate Panthers Track and Field Club and most recently as the Assistant Varsity Cross Country coach at Ichabod Crane Central High School.

Originally from Old Chatham, N.Y., Seabury graduated from Ichabod Crane in 2020. She competed on the varsity cross country and track and field teams for four years, setting the school record in the 4x400-meter relay.Â
