Matt Shultz joined the SUNY Cortland men's soccer coaching staff in 2025 after completing a stellar four-year career as a forward for the Red Dragons.
Shultz played in 88 games with 70 starts for Cortland from 2021 to 2024. He set program records for career goals and points, contributing 42 goals and 16 assists for 100 career points. Shultz also netted eight game-winning goals for his career, including the game winner in the championship game of the 2024 SUNYAC tournament.
Named a third team All-America forward by United Soccer Coaches in 2024, Shultz was also a two-time United Soccer Coaches all-region honoree and a two-time first team All-SUNYAC selection.
