Nate Lehr joined the Cortland Men's Lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach in August of 2026. Lehr's main responsibilities will be with the goalkeepers and defense, coaching the Red Dragon back line that finished in the top 10 in the country in scoring defense in both the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Lehr came to Cortland after a successful stint as an assistant coach at Division II Barton College in 2025-26. The Bulldogs claimed the Conference Carolinas tournament title and earned the program's first-ever NCAA playoff appearance in 2026, finishing the year with a 10-8 overall record.
An accomplished student-athlete himself, Lehr was the starting goalkeeper as a graduate student for one season at Barton in 2025, following a four-year career as the starting goalkeeper at Division II Flagler College from 2021-24. Holds the Flagler single-season and career records for games played, minutes played, and saves, and was selected as Barton's team MVP in 2025.
Lehr earned a master's degree in business administration in strategic leadership from Barton in 2025, and received a bachelor's degree in sport management from Flagler in 2024.
A Binghamton, NY native, Lehr was a three-sport athlete at nearby Chenango Valley High School, lettering in football, wrestling, and lacrosse. He graduated from Chengo Valley in 2019.
