Demitreus finished in second place at 174 pounds at the Wheaton Pete Willson Invitational in Illinois. Ranked ninth nationally, he won his first four matches before losing to the nationally top-ranked wrestler in the finals. Henry was tied 4-4 early in the third period of that match before losing 10-5. Cortland tied for seventh in the 35-team tournament.
