J.C. won the 133-pound weight class at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Mideast Regional in Pennsylvania and is one of four Red Dragons who earned a spot at the NCAA Division III Championships March 11-12 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ranked second regionally, Cardenas dominated his weight class with three pins followed by a 16-3 major decision in the championship match.
