Loraine won the State University of New York Athletic Conference first singles title with three victories at the conference championship tournament in Manlius. Entering her flight unseeded, she opened with a three-set win versus the second seed and a straight set win i the semifinals. She then knocked off the top seed and defending champion from Geneseo in three sets, 7-5, 1-6, 6-2.
