Brandon went 2-0 to help Cortland clinch the SUNYAC regular-season title. He opened the week with a six-hit shutout in a 4-0 win over Oswego. He struck out seven and walked two in nine innings. On Saturday, Serio allowed four hits, two walks and two runs and struck out nine over six innings in an 11-4 victory at Oneonta. For the week, Serio had a 1.20 ERA, allowed 10 hits and four walks and struck out 16 in 15 innings.
