Joe won the national title at 197 pounds at the NCAA Div. III Wrestling Championships in Hershey, Pa. Seeded fourth, he went 5-0 at the championship and finishes the season 32-1. He's Cortland's fifth all-time wrestling national champ. Giaramita pinned the top seed in the semifinals and beat the second seed in the title bout, 6-4, with a takedown in the first sudden-victory overtime period.
