SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Ceilidh MacNeill scored two second-half goals to help lead the nationally sixth-ranked Skidmore field hockey team to a 4-2 win versus Cortland Sunday afternoon in non-conference action. The Red Dragons dropped to 1-2 on the season with both setbacks coming against top-10 teams. The Thoroughbreds improved to 6-0 with the win.

Kelli Blackhurst added one goal and one assist for Skidmore, while Dani DeGregory notched a goal, Molly Gile recorded two assists and Sam Revera collected one assist. Goalkeeper Haley McDougall stopped 10 shots.
Smith gave Cortland a 1-0 lead just three minutes, 10 seconds into the game when she scored an unassisted goal from the right side of the circle. DeGregory tied the game 14 minutes later and the teams entered intermission tied at 1-1.
Blackhurst gave the Thoroughbreds the lead for good off a shot from the right side on a penalty corner at 52:17, and just over four minutes later MacNeill scored her first of the game on a deflection for a 3-1 Skidmore lead. Woodward cut the lead to 3-2 at 58:47 when she scored on a loose ball in the circle, but MacNeill clinched the win for Skidmore on a redirection goal with 2:26 remaining in regulation.
