OSWEGO, N.Y. – Five different players scored goals as the Cortland men's soccer team concluded SUNYAC play with a 5-0 win at Oswego Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons improved to 9-6-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the conference and earned the second seed in the upcoming SUNYAC Tournament. Cortland will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The Lakers fell to 0-10-5 and 0-5-4 with the loss.

Chris McBride (Northport) chipped in with one assist apiece. Friend's goal was the first of his career.

Tim Beauvais (Hilton) made four saves for the Red Dragons in posting his sixth shutout of the season. Goalie Todd Lawson stopped four shots for Oswego.
Merlos gave Cortland a 1-0 lead 12 minutes into the game off an assist from McBride. The Red Dragons took a 2-0 lead into the half when Reiser converted a penalty kick in the 42nd minute. Buffolino set up Barbosa's first goal of the season in the 53rd minute to make it a 3-0 game. Friend then notched an unassisted goal in the 57th minute before Nocito completed the scoring off an assist from Merlos in the 69th minute.
