Salisbury 11, Cortland 0 (6 inn.) (Box Score)
Salisbury (16-2) scored six unearned runs in the top of the second as the designated visiting team and never looked back. Cortland committed a one-out error, and a strikeout that followed would have ended the inning. From that point, the Sea Gulls had six straight batters reach base, including Harley Hill with a two-run single and Paige Knussman with a pinch-hit two-run double.
Hill singled in a run in the third, and Salisbury added four runs in the sixth to trigger the eight-run rule. Hill finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBI and Hannah Mills was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Kathryn Larson threw a two-hit shutout over six innings for the win. She struck out five and walked two.
Gallo and
Cassie Kardias (Shrub Oak/Lakeland) each finished 1-for-2 with a walk for the Red Dragons.
Krista Oakes (Akwesasne/Salmon River) allowed six unearned runs on four hits and a walk in an inning and two-thirds. She struck out one.
