Scranton called timeout, then proceeded to win seven of the next eight points to reduce Cortland's lead to 19-18. The Red Dragons called timeout, after which a Hintz kill and two errors by the Royals pushed Cortland's lead to 22-18. Scranton made one final push to 23-21 after a Crilly ace, but Cortland ended the match with kills by Givelechian and Knauerhase.
