HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Five different players scored a goal as the nationally 20th-ranked Cortland field hockey team defeated Houghton, 5-0, Tuesday night in non-conference action. The Red Dragons improved to 4-1 with their fourth consecutive win, while the Highlanders fell to 2-5.

Goalie Elizabeth Piszker stopped 15 shots for Houghton, while Colleen Sullivan, Marissa Hollinger and Kelsie Ashley each registered a defensive save.
The Red Dragons took a 2-0 lead at the half as Woods scored at 17 minutes, 11 seconds and then assisted Branch's goal at 28:43. Underwood increased the lead to 3-0 at 46:01 before Coope and Stein sealed the win with late goals at 63:20 and 69:15, respectively.
