PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Four different players scored a goal as the nationally 18th-ranked Cortland field hockey team earned a 4-2 win at St. John Fisher Friday night in non-conference play. The Red Dragons improved to 2-1 with the victory, while the Cardinals fell to 2-2.

Elizabeth Cusack and Liz Baldwin each scored an unassisted goal for St. John Fisher. Goalie Danielle Famolaro stopped 14 shots.
Wentlent gave the Red Dragons a 1-0 lead just four minutes, 53 seconds into the game when she deflected in a pass from Underwood. Dean made it a 2-0 score at 28:35 with her first collegiate goal. Less than two minutes later, Cusack cut the deficit to 2-1 and Cortland took that advantage into intermission.
Vogl quickly gave the Red Dragons back their two-goal lead with her score 2:18 into the second half, but Baldwin tallied a goal off a penalty corner at 42:43 to pull the Cardinals to within 3-2 with 27:17 to play. Stein responded with an insurance goal at 52:29, her team-high fifth of the season, after she put a penalty corner into play and Cortland held the 4-2 lead for the remainder of the game.
