CORTLAND, N.Y. – The nationally eighth-ranked Cortland men's soccer team scored four goals in the second half and defeated Hobart College, 5-0, in non-conference action Tuesday night at the Stadium Complex. The Red Dragons won their eighth straight game and improved to 13-2 on the season, while the Statesmen fell to 7-5-3.

Peyton Lalone (Ogdensburg/Ogdensburg Free Academy) collected one assist apiece.

Connor Young (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) registered his sixth shutout of the season. Sophomore goalie Alec Kaminer (Paramus, NJ) made four saves in 78:08 for Hobart before giving way to sophomore Josh Newman (Edgemont), who did not record a save over the final 11:52.
Tata gave Cortland a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute with a one-time shot on a rebound. He then converted a penalty kick in the 50th minute after a Hobart player was sent off with a red card for denying a Cortland breakaway.
Hettler's free-kick goal from 20 yards out that tucked inside the left post made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute. Sumski then scored his third goal in the last two games on a one-touch in front off a header pass from Nambiar in the 79th minute. Harris finished the scoring with 1:35 remaining with a shot right in front.
