Seniors Alex Botten (Newmarket, ON/Georgetown Raiders) and Shawn Hulshof (Stouffville, ON/Trenton Golden Hawks) registered two assists. Sophomore goalie David Jacobson (Calabasas, CA/Arizona St.) turned aside 28 shots.

Cortland took the lead at 17:34 of the opening period when Gleason scored from the top of the right circle after Crowley won a faceoff. The Lakers tied the game 1:23 later on the power play on Johnson's goal.

Neil tallied the game-winning goal at the midway point of the second period, sending in a shot from the right side down low. The score remained 2-1 until late in the third period when Raguseo rang a slap shot off the crossbar and in after a Weigman save. Cortland pulled Weigman late after Oswego took a penalty, but the Lakers sealed the win on Herlihy's empty-net goal with 24 seconds remaining.
