MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Sophomore Darren McCormick (Buffalo/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) scored 37 seconds into overtime to give the Cortland men's hockey team a 5-4 come-from-behind win at Morrisville on Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons improved to 8-10-4 overall and 2-8-3 in the conference, while the Mustangs fell to 5-16-2 and 1-13-1.

McCormick finished with one goal and one assist as did sophomore Dan Broderick (White Plains/New York PAL Islanders) and freshman Sean Brown (East Amherst/Northern Cyclones) for Cortland. Senior Sam Pinsler (Chicago, IL/Green Mountain Glades) and freshman Andrew Gleason (Vestal/Syracuse Stars) also netted goals for the Red Dragons.

Senior Kyle Herring (Valencia, CA/Rochester Stars) recorded two assists for the Red Dragons, and junior Casie Garrison (Cortland/Philadelphia Revolution) and sophomores Andrew McCann (Bowmanville, ON/Wellington Dukes) and Tommy Nolan (Mahopac/Connecticut Oilers) each chipped in with an assist. Sophomore goalie Drew Weigman (Gaithersburg, MD/Northern Cyclones) turned aside 38 shots.

Tyler Lepore netted a pair of goals for the Mustangs. Dario Trupina recorded one goal and one assist, Jordan Carvalho tallied a goal and Darren Young registered three assists. Goalie Steven Dombrosky made 27 saves.

The two teams meet Saturday at 7 p.m. at Cortland.
