PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The nationally third-ranked Plattsburgh men's hockey team scored the last five goals of the game in earning a 6-1 victory versus Cortland Saturday night in SUNYAC action at Stafford Ice Arena.
Sophomore
Darren McCormick (Buffalo/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) netted the goal for the Red Dragons (7-10-4, 1-8-3 SUNYAC), his team-high 11th of the season. Sophomore goalie
Drew Weigman (Gaithersburg, MD/Northern Cyclones) made 30 saves through the first two periods before giving way to sophomore
Kollyn Jones (Cazenovia/New York PAL Islanders), who stopped 13 of the14 shots he faced in the third period.
Pat Egan, Luke Baleshta, Nick Belger and Santino Rangone each recorded a goal and an assist for the Cardinals (18-3-1, 11-1-1). Ryan Chiasson and Michael Radisa tallied one goal, Connor Gorman contributed two assists and Matt Quilty and Ross Sloan chipped in with one assist apiece. Goalie Brady Rouleau registered 27 saves.
