CORTLAND, N.Y. – Thirteen different players scored at least one goal as the nationally top-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team wrapped up an unbeaten regular season with a 21-1 victory versus New Paltz Saturday afternoon in SUNYAC action at the Stadium Complex. The Red Dragons improved to 16-0 overall and 8-0 in the conference and will host the SUNYAC semifinals and finals next Friday and Saturday. The Hawks fell to 3-13 and 0-8.

Kristen Ohberg (Brewster) had three goals and an assist for Cortland and senior
Elizabeth LaComb (Syracuse/West Genesee) added three scores. Senior
Tara Monaghan (Stony Point/North Rockland) tallied two scores with three assists and classmate
Nicole Bello (Camillus/West Genesee) and sophomore
Hannah Elmer (Syracuse/West Genesee) netted two goals and recorded two assists each. Freshman
Morgan Thompson (Akwesasne/Salmon River) scored twice and senior
Elise Bennett (Webster/Webster Thomas) tallied a goal with two helpers. Senior
Colleen Wright (Huntington Station/Huntington) and sophomore
Katie Wolfe (East Amherst/Williamsville North) netted a goal and an assist each. Senior

Junior
Jaclyn Beshlian (Wantagh) made one save and allowed one goal in the first 11:58 for the Red Dragons before giving way to senior
Liz Ingalls (Centerport/St. Anthony's) who made one save and finished the remainder of the game without allowing a goal. Monaghan led Cortland with seven draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Sophomore Caitlyn Morris (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse) scored an unassisted goal for New Paltz. Junior Colleen Roemer (Pound Ridge/Fox Lane) made five saves and conceded 21 goals. Roemer and junior Alexa Criollo (Queens/Forest Hills) scooped up two ground balls each for the Hawks and junior Nicole Gottschalk (Glastonbury, CT) won three draws and caused one turnover.
Nine different players scored for Cortland in the first half as the Red Dragons jumped out to a 13-1 lead. Ohberg scored three times, LaComb and Elmer tallied two goals each and Monaghan, Wolfe, Moore, Wright, Gentile and Stone all added one goal each. Morris scored the lone goal for New Paltz.
Cortland added eight unanswered goals in the second half. Bello and Thompson scored twice each and Monaghan, Antelmi, LaComb and Bennett all added one goal each.
Aside from Ingalls, all Red Dragon seniors scored at least one goal each as they celebrated senior day.
