CORTLAND, N.Y. – Sophomore Maddy Jerolman (Hamden, CT/Williston Northampton) netted two goals to help lead the nationally fifth-ranked Elmira women's ice hockey team to a 5-1 victory over Cortland Friday night in ECAC West action at Alumni Arena. The Soaring Eagles improved to 8-2-2 overall and 7-0 in the conference, while the Red Dragons fell to 1-11 and 0-7.

Sophomore Maddie Evangelous (Hudson, MA/Worcester Academy) tallied three points on one goal and two assists for Elmira. Senior Jessica Prance (Chaumont/Perth Predators) and sophomore Katie Granato (Naperville, IL/Chicago Mission) scored one goal apiece, sophomore Kristin Chivers (Antioch, IL/Chicago Young Americans) recorded two assists, while three others each chipped in with one assist. Junior goalie Kelcey Crawford (Purcellville, VA/Proctor Academy) turned aside 13 shots.
The same two teams meet tomorrow in Elmira at 3 p.m.
