OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The nationally third-ranked Oswego men's hockey team jumped out to a 3-0 lead just 3:21 into the first period and earned a 7-3 victory versus Cortland Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Lakers improved to 15-3-1 overall and 10-1-1 in the conference, while the Red Dragons fell to 8-10-1 and 4-6.

Junior Drazen Zack (East Greenbush/Connecticut Oilers) led Cortland with one goal and one assist. Juniors Darren McCormick (Buffalo/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and Tommy Nolan (Mahopac/Connecticut Oilers) each netted a goal, junior Dan Broderick (White Plains/New York PAL Islanders) collected two assists and freshmen Stefano Alonzi (Maple, ON/Burlington Cougars), Tony DeVito (Chicago, IL/New Jersey Titans) and Aidan Salerno (East Atlantic Beach/Soo Thunderbirds) recorded one assist apiece. Junior goalie Drew Weigman (Annapolis, MD/Northern Cyclones registered 29 saves.

David Ferreira paced the Lakers with two goals. Shawn Hulshof tallied one goal and three assists, while Josh Zizek, Joey Davies, Kristoffer Brun and Joey Scorpio each notched one goal. Kenny Neil contributed three assists, and six others each had one assist. Goalie David Jacobson stopped 12 shots.
