GENESEO, N.Y. – The nationally eighth-ranked Cortland men's soccer team clinched the regular-season SUNYAC title and the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament with a 1-0 win at Geneseo Friday afternoon. With the win, the Red Dragons improved to 13-1-2 overall and 7-1 in the conference, while the Knights dropped to 6-7-3 and 2-5-1.

Sam Fuller (Liverpool) scored the lone goal of the game. Junior
Miguel Tunas (Carmel/North Salem) collected his team-high sixth assist of the season on the goal.

Sean Kelly (Coram/Newfield) did not need to make a save for the Red Dragons in posting his 11th shutout of the season, which tied the program single-season record set by Scott Manning in 1977 and 1978 and matched by Charlie Moore in 1982. Goalie Dillon Medd registered five saves for Geneseo.
After a scoreless first half in which the teams combined for just six shots, Fuller neted the game-winner in the 68th minute. After taking a pass from Tunas, Fuller blasted a 35-yard shot from straight on that found the upper left of the goal. After the goal, the Knights managed just one shot, an attempt that went high in the 76th minute, as Cortland held on for the 1-0 victory.
