NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The New Paltz field hockey team erased an early 1-0 deficit in defeating Cortland, 2-1, Saturday afternoon in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons dropped to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference, while the Hawks improved to 7-4 and 3-0.

Kailynne Reinoehl (Lititz, PA/Warwick) registered 13 saves.
Samantha Ackerman and Carly Croteau each recorded a goal and an assist for New Paltz. Goalie Ryan Dowling made eight saves.
Glaser gave Cortland a 1-0 lead 11:50 into the game on a deflection in front. Ackerman tied the game 6:04 before the half with a shot from right in front. Croteau tallied the game-winner at 61:24. New Paltz picked up a pair of yellow cards in the closing minutes, but Cortland could not capitalize and did not manage a shot as the Hawks held on for the win.
