OSWEGO, N.Y. – The nationally ninth-ranked Oswego men's hockey team built a 4-0 lead early into the third period and defeated Cortland, 4-2, in SUNYAC action Friday night. The Red Dragons dropped to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Lakers improved to 1-0 and 1-0.

Senior Mike Crowley (Buffalo/Springfield Blues) and sophomore Alex Storjohann (Phoenix, AZ/Kirkland Lake) recorded a goal and an assist to lead Cortland. Junior Connor Beck (Richmond Hill, ON/Toronto Jr. Canadiens) and sophomore Cole Skelly (Mt. Arlington, NJ/Binghamton Jr. Senators) each collected an assist. Junior goalie Nick Modica (Suffern/New Jersey Hitmen) registered 29 saves.

Travis Broughman paced Oswego with two goals and an assist. Derek Brown and Tanner Spink each netted a goal, Carter Allen recorded two assists and five others picked up one assist apiece. Goalie David Richer made 16 saves.
