OSWEGO, N.Y. – Cortland earned a thrilling victory by three hundredths of a second in the "winner-take-all" final event, the 200-yard freestyle relay, and the Red Dragons defeated host Oswego, 153-147, in women's swimming and diving dual-meet action.

Cortland trailed 143-140 entering the final event but earned the 11 first-place points when Kailyn Anselment (Moreau/Glens Falls), Kelly Davey (Plattsburgh), Lily Miller (Buffalo/Starpoint) and Emma Gulbin (Wall Township, NJ/Wall) won the race in 1:43.15 compared to Oswego's time of 1:43.18.

Cortland trailed by about a second after the first 50 yards before Davey swam the second leg in 24.49 seconds, the fastest of any swimmer in the race, to give the Red Dragons the lead. Miller posted a time of 25.73 seconds on the third leg to extend the lead, and Gulbin held off a furious charge by Oswego's Riley Synan over the final 50 yards to give Cortland the win and the team title.
