CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Buffalo St. men's hockey team scored three third period goals to erase a 2-1 deficit and skated to a 4-2 victory at Cortland Friday night in SUNYAC action. With the win, the Bengals improved to 9-8-2 overall and 6-4-2 in the conference, while the Red Dragons fell to 8-12 and 2-9.

Junior Stefano Alonzi (King City, ON/Burlington Cougars) and freshman Ian Keller (East Meadow/New York PAL Islanders) each netted a goal for Cortland. Junior Douglas Elgstam (Stockholm, Sweden/New Jersey Rockets), sophomores Louis DiMatteo (Nobleton, ON/Trenton Golden Hawks) and Alex Storjohann (Phoenix, AZ/Kirkland Lake) and freshman Mike Sciore (Syracuse/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) collected one assist apiece. Junior goalie Nick Modica (Suffern/New Jersey Hitmen) registered 35 saves.

Four different players scored goals for Buffalo St., led by freshman Andrew Husted (Niagara Falls/New Jersey Titans), who recorded a goal and two assists. Sophomore Connor Zak (Amherst/Nichols School) tallied a goal and an assist, and junior Colin O'Connor (Kankakee, IL/Atlanta Capitals) and sophomore Red Bibb (Gaithersburg, MD/Philadelphia Flyers) also scored goals. Sophomore goalie Connor Minch (Manchester, NH/Islanders Hockey Club) made 33 saves.

Zak gave the Bengals the lead with a wrist shot at 9:03 of the first period. Cortland took a 2-0 lead after the second period when Keller scored on a deflection in front on the power play at 9:51 and Alonzi put in a rebound at the side of the net with the man advantage at 12:57.

Husted tied the game at 1:29 of the third with a shot from the slot. Bibb's power-play goal at 9:29 gave the Bengals the lead. Cortland pulled Modica for an extra skater with 1:18 remaining, but O'Connor scored a rink-length empty-net goal at 19:29 to seal the win.
